From Bodyguard to the Breadline: Why I'm in Your Corner

The Hundred Lives

The Hundred Lives

They say life is a journey, but if you ask me, it’s more like a 12-round fight.

My name is Terry-Gene. I was born on Mother’s Day in 1976 in Manly, NSW. By the time I was 17, I’d seen more of this country than most people see in a lifetime—travelling from the bottom of Tasmania, up to Cairns, and across to Adelaide.

I’ve lived a hundred lives since then. I’m a father of four and a husband here in Melbourne. But if you look at my resume, you might get whiplash.

I’ve sold furniture and spray-painted cars. I’ve driven trucks (HC license) and operated excavators. I’ve served in the Air Force and worked as a Personal Trainer. I’ve handled venomous snakes and even worked personal protection for the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

I have a license for just about everything—from forklifts to wildlife. I’ve ridden motorcycles, smoked cigars, and drunk the good bourbon. I’ve had the highs.

But I also know the lows.

Right now, despite that resume and those skills, I’m unemployed. I’m standing right here in the trenches with every other Aussie family trying to figure out how to keep the lights on and the food on the table.

And that is exactly why I launched Fit Fusion Boxing.

I’m not here to sell you a six-pack in six weeks. I’m here because I know that the philosophy of boxing is the philosophy of survival.

  • It’s about keeping your guard up when the bills are piling up.

  • It’s about learning to roll with the punches when life throws a hook you didn't see coming.

  • It’s about the discipline to get off the canvas when you’ve been knocked down.

Fit Fusion isn't just about fitness; it's about fortitude. It’s for the mums and dads, the truckies and the tradies, the people who feel like they’re on their “Last Resort” but are too stubborn to quit.

I’m using everything I’ve learned—from the discipline of the Air Force to the grit of the boxing ring—to help navigate this crazy thing called life. We’re going to talk about mental health, physical fitness, and the sheer will it takes to keep moving forward.

I’ve been the bodyguard for a superstar, but now I want to be the corner man for you.

Welcome to Fit Fusion. Let’s go a few rounds.

Time to Get Off the Canvas.
