At first glance, it looks like a simple photo: I’m cold, wet, covered in mud, and jogging with a heavy log above my head. But behind that smile is a moment in time when I felt truly unstoppable. I was fit, driven, and able to push myself to the limit without hesitation.
Life changes fast. Work demands grow. Family responsibilities increase. Money pressure kicks in. Injuries build up. Depression creeps in quietly. Before long, even everyday tasks begin to feel heavier than the log I’m holding in this picture.
And here’s the honest truth: I may never get back to that physical peak again. My shoulder and back won’t let me train like I used to, and I’m closing in on 50. But this isn’t a story about giving up. It’s about adapting.
When you can’t do one thing, you find another way. When life changes, your strategy changes too.
That mindset is what inspired me to build Fit Fusion Boxing — a fitness approach designed for real people juggling real pressure. Parents, workers, everyday Australians dealing with stress, energy drain, injuries, and the weight of expectations. I’m not teaching from a pedestal. I’m teaching from lived experience, right in the middle of the same battle everyone else fights.
